Not a medical device Body Check is a personal health-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose conditions, and does not replace professional medical advice. Everything you record is for your own personal use.

In short

Who we are

Body Check is developed and operated by an independent developer based in the European Union. Because the developer is established in the EU, this policy is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We do not operate our own servers and we do not store your data on our side. Everything described below happens either on your device or inside cloud storage that belongs to you.

What data is involved, and where it lives

Data Where it is stored Who can access it
Health entries (body map, organs, symptoms, teeth, tests, health budget, diary) On your device only You only
Backup snapshot (if you enable backup) Your personal Google Drive (created via Google Sign-In) You only
Anonymous install identifier (installId) On your device; never included in a backup You only
Subscription status RevenueCat (the app store is the source of truth) RevenueCat
Crash reports (anonymous, no personal or health data) Crash-reporting provider Provider
Usage analytics — only after you opt in Analytics provider Provider

Your health data never leaves your device except in one situation: when you choose to create a backup to your own cloud storage. We cannot see, receive, or read the contents of that backup.

Backups to your own cloud

The backup feature stores a snapshot of your data inside a cloud account that belongs to you. We never hold a copy.

The backup is a snapshot, not a live sync, and it is controlled entirely by you. You can also export and import your data as a local file without any cloud account at all.

Subscriptions and payments

Payments are processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see or store your payment-card details.

Subscription entitlements are managed through RevenueCat, which stores purchase-status information linked to an anonymous app-store identifier — never to your health data. The app store remains the source of truth for your subscription. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for details.

Crash reporting

When the app crashes, an anonymous crash report may be sent to help us fix the problem. A report contains technical information such as the error type, app version, and device platform. Personal data and health data are stripped out and are never included in crash reports.

Usage analytics (opt-in only)

Usage analytics are off by default. They are collected only after you give explicit consent at first launch. Until you opt in, no analytics events are sent at all.

If you opt in, the analytics we collect are limited to anonymous product-usage events (for example, which screens are opened) tied to an anonymous identifier — never to the content of your health entries. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app’s Settings, and collection stops immediately.

Children

Body Check is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us and we will help.

Your rights under GDPR

Because your data lives on your own device and in your own cloud, you are in direct control of it. You can exercise the following rights yourself, at any time:

📤

Access & portability

Export all of your data to a file from the app’s menu.

✏️

Rectification

Edit or correct any entry directly in the app.

Erasure

Delete the app to remove all local data; delete your cloud backup from Google Drive.

🚫

Withdraw consent

Turn analytics off in Settings at any time.

For any request that cannot be handled inside the app, contact us at the address below. We aim to respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
